How does Autroid handle stock across multiple warehouses and branches?
Each warehouse or branch has its own stock ledger in Autroid. You can view individual location stock or a consolidated total in real time. Inter-branch transfers are treated like internal GRNs — both locations update instantly. There's no batch sync or nightly job. If your technician in Andheri consumes a brake pad at 3 PM, the Andheri stock count drops at 3 PM and rolls up into your consolidated view immediately.
Can Autroid automatically raise purchase orders when stock runs low?
Yes. You set a reorder level and preferred vendor per SKU per warehouse. When stock crosses that level, Autroid creates a draft PO pre-filled with the vendor's last price, your payment terms and the recommended quantity (calculated by the AI based on usage rate and vendor lead time). Your purchase manager gets a notification, reviews and approves with one tap. The PO is emailed to the vendor automatically. Most teams go from "stock alert" to "PO sent" in under 15 minutes.
What is the GRN workflow in Autroid Inventory?
GRN stands for Goods Receipt Note. When your vendor delivers parts, you open the corresponding PO in Autroid and create a GRN. You record what actually arrived (quantity may differ from PO), mark each item as QC-passed or rejected, and submit. Only QC-passed quantities are added to available stock. The GRN simultaneously creates a GST purchase invoice in Autroid Finance, so your accounts and inventory are always in sync. Rejected items are tracked for vendor credit notes.
Which valuation methods does Autroid support — FIFO, LIFO or Weighted Average?
Autroid supports FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and Weighted Average costing. LIFO is not supported as it is not permissible under Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS 2). You can configure valuation method per item category — for example, using FIFO for imported parts and Weighted Average for generic consumables. Stock value on your balance sheet is recalculated in real time with every transaction, so there's no manual stock audit needed at month end.
